DICK'S Sporting Goods Supports Emerald Academy Athletics

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Emerald Charter Schools recently received a $10,000 “Sports Matter” grant from DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation.

The funding will support athletic opportunities at Emerald Academy, Knoxville’s first and only public charter school serving K-8 grade scholars.

Since 2018, DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation has pledged $2.5 million to partner with DICK’S Sporting Goods stores to provide meaningful grants to support youth sports teams, leagues, and programs in local communities throughout the country.

A check presentation was held February 5 during halftime of an Emerald Academy junior varsity basketball game.
