Mental Health 101 Programs

Mental Health 101 is our school based program serving middle and high schools across Tennessee. Mental Health Association staff visit more than 60 schools, serving 17,000 students during the academic year teaching the Mental Health 101 curriculum to middle and high school students.

Scholars are eager to learn about mental health because many know their peers are struggling with mental health problems. They also are aware of numerous celebrities who experience similar issues. Outcome data shows significant gains in demonstrable knowledge of mental illness signs and symptoms, symptom duration, and intervention and recognition of suicidal behaviors.
